ChatGPT and Codex (ChatGPT connection)
How do I connect Blender?
The ChatGPT connection isn't available yet. To use MCP for Blender today, run it locally with Claude, Cursor or Codex: install the addon from GitHub or with the one-command setup in Installation.
How do I disconnect or remove access?
Click Disconnect in Blender to stop for now, or Sign out to remove this Blender from your account. To remove ChatGPT's or Codex's access, disconnect Assistant for Blender in that app's settings.
How do I delete my account?
Email ahujasid@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we'll delete your account and connected Blenders.
Running MCP for Blender locally
Claude, Cursor or Codex can't reach Blender
In Blender's MCP for Blender sidebar, click Connect to MCP server and check the port matches your client's settings (9876 by default). Only one MCP client can be connected at a time. See Installation and MCP clients.
The addon says it's out of date
Click Update addon at the bottom of the sidebar, then restart Blender. Or run uvx mcp-for-blender install-addon.
How do I turn off data collection?
Sharing your prompts, code and screenshots is off unless you turned it on in the addon's preferences. To stop the anonymous usage record too, set DISABLE_TELEMETRY=true for the MCP server. Details in the Privacy Policy.
