The addon itself is free and open source, and every feature works on Free. The only difference is 3D generation. On Free, you sign up with Tencent Cloud, Hyper3D or fal.ai, paste your own API keys into Blender and pay those providers directly.
Hobby, Pro and Max include generation in the price. You activate one license key, then ask your LLM for a model. There are no provider accounts or API keys to set up, and you also get Tripo, which isn't available with your own keys.
One 3D model created from a text prompt or image. Standard generations use Hunyuan3D v3.1 Rapid or Tripo with standard textures. High-quality generations use Hunyuan3D v3.1 Pro, Tripo with HD textures or Hyper3D Rodin. Every Rodin generation counts as high quality.
One allowance covers all models, so you can spend it on any mix. For example, Pro's 40 standard generations can be any combination of Hunyuan3D and Tripo.
It isn't counted. Only generations that return a model come out of your allowance.
Every month, on the day of the month your subscription started. This applies to annual plans too. Unused generations don't roll over.
Three per license key. To free a slot, deactivate the key from Blender Preferences on the computer you no longer use.
Yes. Upgrading (for example, from Hobby to Pro or Pro to Max) applies immediately, and this month's usage carries over. Downgrading takes effect at your next billing date.
You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for. Manage all of this from Manage account in the addon's Premium preferences, or see your account page.
You need Claude (or another MCP client) connected to the addon. Premium only covers 3D generation, not the AI assistant itself.
No. MCP for Blender is an independent, third-party addon. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Blender or the Blender Foundation.
