MCP for Blender Premium lets your AI assistant generate 3D models with Hunyuan3D, Tripo and Hyper3D Rodin without setting up your own API keys or third-party accounts. You subscribe, get one license key, activate it in Blender, and generations come out of a monthly allowance.
Premium only changes where 3D generation runs. The tools your assistant uses stay the same, and everything else in MCP for Blender (scene editing, Poly Haven, Sketchfab, Poly Pizza) works exactly as before.

- Standard generations use Hunyuan3D v3.1 Rapid or Tripo with standard textures.
- High-quality generations use Hunyuan3D v3.1 Pro, Tripo with HD textures, or Hyper3D Rodin. Every Rodin generation, and every Tripo generation from an image, counts as high quality.
- One allowance covers every model, in any mix. Allowances reset monthly and unused generations don't roll over.
- Max can run 3 generations at once.
- Failed generations are never counted.

Activate your license key
After checkout, your license key is shown on screen and emailed to you.

Make sure the MCP for Blender addon is up to date. Premium needs a recent addon; run
uvx mcp-for-blender install-addon, then restart Blender. -
In Blender, open Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → MCP for Blender.

Under 3D Generation, choose Premium.

Paste your key into License Key and click Activate.
Activating switches generation to Premium and turns on Hyper3D Rodin, Hunyuan3D and Tripo in the current scene. The preferences then show your plan and how many generations you have left. Click Refresh to update the count.
The MCP for Blender sidebar tab (press N in the 3D viewport) also shows your plan and remaining generations while Premium is on.
Generating models
Ask your assistant for a model the same way you would with your own keys, for example: "Make a low-poly fox and put it on the rock." It checks the generator's status, starts the generation, waits for it to finish, and imports the model into your scene.

Tripo is only available with Premium. It is good at single textured objects with PBR materials.
Quality
Set Default Quality in the Premium preferences (or Quality in the sidebar) to Standard or High. Your assistant uses the default unless you ask for more detail, in which case it requests a high-quality generation for that model. High quality is only available on Pro and Max.
Images
Image-to-3D needs a local file path or an image URL. Images you attach in the chat can't be passed to Blender, so your assistant will ask you for the file path instead. With Hyper3D Rodin, only the first image is used.
Using more than one computer
A license key can be active on 3 computers at a time. To move it to another computer, open the Premium preferences on the one you no longer use and click Deactivate. This frees the slot and switches that computer back to your own API keys. The key stays filled in, so reactivating later is one click.
Managing your subscription
Click Manage account in the Premium preferences to upgrade, downgrade, cancel or download invoices. You can also use the account page.
- Upgrading (for example, from Hobby to Pro or Pro to Max) applies immediately, and this month's usage carries over.
- Downgrading takes effect at your next billing date.
- If you cancel, Premium keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.
Using your own keys instead
Premium is optional. Hunyuan3D and Hyper3D Rodin still work with your own Hyper3D, fal.ai or Tencent Cloud API keys, with no limits from us; you pay the provider directly. Choose Your own API keys under 3D Generation in the addon preferences, and see the Hyper3D Rodin and Hunyuan3D setup guides.
Troubleshooting
When a Premium generation fails, your assistant tells you why and doesn't retry on its own.
License key not recognised
Check the key in Preferences against the one in your email. Make sure there are no extra spaces.
This device isn't activated
Click Activate in the Premium preferences.
Key is active on 3 devices
Deactivate the key on a computer you no longer use, then activate it here.
High-quality models are included in Pro
Your plan is Hobby. Use standard quality, or upgrade to Pro or Max from Manage account.
You've used all generations this month
Wait for your allowance to reset, upgrade to a bigger plan, or switch to your own API keys.
Couldn't reach the Premium server
Check your internet connection and try again. Your own API keys still work in the meantime.
